Eldred Gregory Peck was born on April 5, 1916 in La Jolla, California, to Bernice Mae (Ayres) and Gregory Pearl Peck, a chemist and druggist in San Diego. She lived in Los Angeles and was devoted to charitable work. Whatever the reason for their divorce, its clear that Gregory Peck and Greta Kukkonen were no longer meant to be together. She married Gregory on New Years Eve in 1955, just one day after he finalized the divorce with his first wife, Greta Kukkonen. Gregory Pecks 35-year-old grandson, Ethan Peck, is a successful TV actor. But one day, Kukkonen suddenly left France and returned to Los Angeles. His eulogy was read by his long-time friend and fellow actor Brock Peters, whose character, Tom Robinson, was defended by Atticus Finch in To Kill a Mockingbird.
